Quilting Retreat with Australian Quilter, Irene Blanck

Someone asked me recently, how on earth we came to know Irene Blanck of Australia and how we managed to bring her here for a quilters retreat in the woods of Vermont this coming November.  While the world seems so large and spread out, truly, it is a small world after all . . . especially in the world of quilters!

Irene is a friend of a friend with not even six degrees of separation!  Last November, after teaching at "A Quilter's Gathering" in New Hampshire, Irene came to visit our mutual friend, Gayle.  Gayle hosted a workshop with Irene and we learned how to make Irene's quick Clam Shell pattern and technique.  One thing lead to another, and we are now hosting a weekend retreat with Irene here at the inn as she teaches us her methods for applique, hexies and diamonds along with easy-peasy stems.  A super fun teacher, Irene brings her charm and knowlege from "down under" to the Green Mountains of Vermont.  We still have a few spaces available; call the inn for more information or check out our website for the agenda and supply list.  Hope to see you there!
